MACH 7 Drone allows drone pilots to easily prepare their flights, by including all flights data in a single software:
Drones can move freely in the airspace under 500 ft and out of restricted areas near airfields. But this airspace is not empty and is already used by many aircrafts: ULM, helicopters, planes exercicing for engine failure, military aircrafts, gliders landing, etc.
In this area, the “see and avoid” principle doesn’t work between a drone and a plane for example. Drones are too small to be seen and they can be a real collision danger.
Confronted with this problem, MACH 7 has developed an experimental system informing all aviation users about drones presence, thanks to the software “MACH 7 Drone”.
The principle is as follows : drones pilots send their flight notifications on MACH 7 UAV. Connected to the same server, general aviation pilots see on their flight planning system, MACH 7, the presence of geo-referenced drones.
